Ccoating process

The continuous coating process is carried out in the following steps on the InnoPET Plasmax: After the bottles have been loaded in the process chamber and a vacuum has been generated, the reaction gasflows into the bottles and is subsequently changed into a plasma state by microwave energy to form SiO_x, i.e. the pure glass coating.

During the Plasmax process, the generated SiO_x precipitates evenly inside of the entire bottle surface to form an invisible and gas impermeable protection layer. The coating is free of residues, eliminating the need of additional cleaning or rinsing prior to bottle filling.

Process control ensures that only optimally coated bottles are produced.
