There are ever increasing demands worldwide with regard to barrier properties of PET bottles. The Plasmax process significantly improves the gas barrier of PET bottles by applying a wafer-thin SiO_x inner coating.

Backed by many years of industrial use, the benefits of this process have been repeatedly established in new applications. SiO_x (silicon oxide) is a chemically pure glass. In addition to high-quality fruit juices, where appearance, flavour and vitamin C content are preserved over a longer period, wine, beer, CSD, ketchup, sauces and other liquids are also filled in Plasmax coated PET bottles.
