Applications
The demand for PET packaging is constantly increasing worldwide along with the demand for the improved barrier properties that can be produced using the groundbreaking InnoPET Plasmax process. Thereby assuring the highest protection of sensitive products when packed in InnoPET Plasmax coated PET containers and providing new opportunities and applications to other plastic packaging materials.
Barrier protection
The crystal clear nanometre InnoPET Plasmax coating prevents oxygen permeation and CO2 loss, thereby preserving vitamin C content, appearance and taste of high quality juices. Even the shelf life and product quality of beer and other carbonated beverages can be extended and wine filled in InnoPET Plasmax coated bottles meet highest quality expectations: The InnoPET Plasmax barrier coating with the properties of glass prevents early aging through oxygen permeation and inhibits flavour scalping.
Extensive application area
InnoPET Plasmax technology has not yet reached the full potential of appropriate applications: For example, the shelf life of ketchup, sauces and other liquid food can be prolonged considerably using this technology. Corresponding applications have already successfully been tried and tested and the development continues for new products.
Optimal competitive advantage
Maximum product protection and improved shelf life are major benefits of InnoPET Plasmax coated PET packaging and its crystal clear appearance are also a key factor from a marketing perspective. InnoPET Plasmax coated bottles offer decisive benefits compared to glass packaging: Impact resistance due to extremely flexible coating as well as low weight resulting in considerably reduced transport costs. Furthermore InnoPET Plasmax coated bottles are 100 % recyclable offering a significant advantage over other barrier solutions such as multilayer or blends.
